Much of my life has been about art...

I was born and raised in the bucolic countryside of Bucks County, Pennsylvania. I spent many years experimenting with different mediums, starting with calligraphy (both English and Japanese) and then studying painting and drawing. While a college student, I started a wholesale business which featured my hand-painted clothing and accessories. In my career as creative director for an international art publishing company, I commissioned images by renowned artists and photographers for use on prints, greeting cards and calendars.  After starting a family, I launched an invitation and corporate branding design business.  While living in Nashville I worked as a photojournalist for the Nashville Banner, which gave me the opportunity to experience Nashville through a photographic lens. I spend most of my days taking photos in the splendor of nature, sometimes cold and damp, sometimes hot and muggy, but always spectacular.

I find beauty in most everything...

Photography allows me to capture, express and share that beauty.  As a person with moderate hearing loss, being a photographer is a unique experience.   Part of being a photographer is connecting through senses to your surroundings. Perhaps it is where I ask the viewer to share a heightened sense of visual.  The  theme of my work often focuses on detail, texture and color.  I hope that the viewer can share the moments when I see an animal, a sunrise, or flower so stunning that it literally takes my breath away.
